Refreshing…

wine snob at work on food Always great when you come across something quite refreshing. Heres a snippet from the recent winedirect newsletter about one of their recent Rhone arrivals. They love the wine but its good to see them telling it like it is because we all know the wine industry has its fair share of precious souls....

Domaine Roger Sabon is a relatively new agency for us, this being only our second shipment. So by way of a quick introduction, we can tell you that they are... A). Very famous B). Extremely good winemakers C). A pack of arseholes Don't ask us to hook you up with a cellar tour with these guys. Alastair visited the estate recently (just last week in fact) and he felt they came across a little... too aware of their own reputation, shall we say? (I believe the colloquial French term Al used was 'pack of arseholes'). But we don't have to marry into the family, do we. All we have to do is drink their wine, which is pretty painless really because the wines really are very good. Always clean, polished, even svelte
